I’ve had the incredible honour in directing the music video for Kith the Kid’s massive song ”24k Gold”.
This amazing duet features an amazing young Iranian female artist ’Kiana’, who brings us this performance from their troubled homeland of Iran. Due to the government (or the regime) which holds power in the country, that oppresses its people, censors the freedom of its artists, let alone limiting the expression and individuality of women. We’re incredibly lucky to have this Iranian talent at display. In order to protect her anonymity, she’s brought to the screen in sheer elegance by our multi-talented actress and make-up artist Dounia Beil.
The song in many ways echoes the pain and ache Kith feels for his loved ones back home… With every passionate syllable screamed into existance, with every story scribbled in fearless prose, with every song sung; it wages war against the tyranny of man and edges this beautiful Persian nation closer to the hour of freedom and liberty.
As truth and the freedom to express it, can only bring down a tyranny.
